iNFeCTeD released a demo cassette in 1993 called 'Prick'. It won the attention of Australian label Thrust, a subsidiary of Shock Records, and they included this, the opening track 'Blind', on an Australian extreme metal compilation called 'Come to Daddy' that same year. Thrust subsequently signed iNFeCTeD to a two album deal which saw 'crawlspace' released in 1994 and 'CoNTRoL' in 1995. The 'Prick' demo was also re-released in the USA by Wild Rags Records in 1994, the only iNFeCTeD recording to ever receive a release outside of Australia.
